And Mylo's right eye?
Oh no, a cataract!
Mylo has also been diagnosed with a capsular cataract in his remaining right eye. The opthalmologist's opinion is that because of his young age he was more than likely born with this cataract. The presence of this cataract in Mylo's right eye has been notified to the histopathology lab to be taken into consideration during the continuing investigation of his removed eye.
A year on down the road we re-visitied the opthalmologist to check on the cataract. And am sure Mylo breathed a sigh of relief when he said it has got no bigger. At the moment his vision is still not affected but check ups will still be needed next year and if no bigger, every 5 years after. If it does progress it was made clear that he will most definately go blind and need an operation to remove it! So fingers crossed the little blighter of a cataract stays that way!
